Exploring Our Options

For years we thought we wanted to buy a house in Arlington.  We imagined buying a crowded townhouse that we would outgrow in five years or an old fixer-upper that would cost a fortune to buy and another to make livable.  Then Aras introduced us to Lake Barcroft.  He showed us homes in the same price range as our Arlington options but where we could fit comfortably, raise our children, and enjoy the next thirty years.

Aras helped us negotiate a good price and referred us to excellent contractors for updates and repairs. He also helped us sell our condos quickly. Overall, we always felt that Aras understood our needs and represented our interests throughout the process. Now we have a wonderful home in a neighborhood we love.

Newbies

As “newbies” to the US housing market, we ventured out as nervous first time buyers. Having watched endless home buying and house hunting programmes on television, we were sure that months of pain and anguish lay ahead of us. We were struggling with which area to buy in, what sort of house would best fit family needs, ease of commute (to DC) etc. Worst of all were all the stories of bidding wars, last minute hiccups, complicated legal procedures and slow and unhelpful lenders.

Indeed, all of those things do exist and we suspect are suffered by many buyers, the simple truth is we sailed through the process. The reason? Aras Butas – a simple solution to a complex set of problems. Of course, we tried to make it as difficult as possible for Aras – we were thinking of the wrong type of house, in the wrong areas etc etc. However, as opposed to telling us straight off and trying to forcibly steer us, he guided us through the maze, showed us all the properties we had found on the internet, all the while skillfully guiding us to the property that he knew would suit our needs, characters and situation. Where was that property? On Lake Barcroft, of course. Suburban living in the DC Metro area simply does not get better than being on
the Lake.

Even if you have never heard of the Lake, crave a modern town house and are terrified by the thought of a yard, let Aras do his magic and let you see what is out there. One thing is for sure, once you find the house, Aras will effortlessly get you through all that bureaucratic mess and lead you to the champagne closing most only dream of. As we said before – a simple solution to a complex set of problems and he even does it with a big smile and a laid back attitude!
